In 1978 Hydra-Seal, Inc. began supplying industrial piston rings to the hydraulic cylinder market. Now we serve many diverse markets including:
- Die Casting
- Railroad— Brake and Ride Control
- Automotive— Shock Absorbers, Transmissions and Turbo Chargers
- Industrial Equipment— Machine Tools, Air Compressors, Hydraulic Clutches, Forge Hammers, Presses, Pumps and Valves
- Glass Production
- Electric Power Generating
And of course our rings still are used in hydraulic cylinders for mobile equipment— earth scrapers, hydraulic shovels, hoist cylinders in dump trucks and an assortment of agricultural equipment including tractors.
In January 2008, we proudly became an ISO 9001-2000 company and are now ISO 9001-2008 Certified. We are registered with SRI of Seven Fields, PA.
We also purchased Superior Piston Ring Company of Detroit, MI in December 2008. Superior started producing industrial rings in 1920. Their operations have been consolidated in our plant in Menomonee Falls, WI where our advanced methods of ring production are utilized. This acquisition has allowed us to expand our product line and serve in new markets.
